A Neo-Minimalist Manifesto
While the eyes may be the window to the soul, they often play tricks on us like a bird crashing into the glass. Only when we go deeper than the eyes and see with the mind, can we see the truth as it really is. By removing the ‘fluff’ we can afford to experience what is actually in front of us. When we genuinely ‘see’ we may analyze and evolve.
Everyday, distraction keeps us from our potential. Neo-minimalism like meditation, seeks to transcend to a higher plane of consciousness by paving the way to contemplation and the removal of excess. It seeks to inspire the viewer to reach higher and holds the artist accountable to a certain integrity. It is not about expressing the will of the artist, its duty is to express the greater will. - Steven-Lindel Becraft
